This entry-level certificate course provides an overview of HI legislation, principles and types of informatics, concepts of privacy, compliance, safety, and metrics, and fundamental terminology. This certificate course is designed for people entering the healthcare field, those who seek to transition into an informatics role, or those who wish to gain new knowledge about the role of HI in healthcare.
This course is asynchronous and does not meet on specific days. Your instructor will also have regularly scheduled, optional 1:1 sessions to review individual progress as you make your way through the course. This course does require the use of a Windows PC.
